Frequently Asked Questions

// Orders & Shipping
Do you ship to the United States? +
Yes! We ship Canada-wide and to the United States via Canada Post. Please note that US customers may be subject to import duties or customs fees upon delivery — these are the responsibility of the buyer.
How long does it take to receive my order? +
Our typical turnaround is 3–5 business days total — this includes printing time and shipping. For custom STL orders, we'll confirm the timeline after reviewing your file.
Do you send a photo before shipping? +
For custom STL orders, yes — we'll send you a photo of the finished part via WhatsApp before it goes out. For standard products, we'll include a photo as a courtesy when we notify you that your order has shipped.
What shipping carrier do you use? +
We ship via Canada Post. Tracking is provided on every order.
Where can I buy your standard products? +
You can browse and purchase our standard parts directly through our Etsy store at etsy.com/shop/BlackfiberMfg. For custom orders or any questions, reach out via WhatsApp and we'll get back to you within a few hours.
// Products & Compatibility
What platforms are your parts compatible with? +
Most of our standard parts are designed for common AEG and GBB platforms. For custom orders, compatibility depends on the file or reference you provide — we can work with virtually any platform as long as we have the right specs.
I don't have an STL file, just a photo of the part I need. Can I still contact you? +
Absolutely. Even without a file, reach out via WhatsApp with a photo and description of what you need. We can work together to find or design the part you're looking for.
What materials do you use? +
We primarily print in PETG-CF (carbon fiber reinforced PETG) and PLA-CF. These materials offer significantly better strength, rigidity, and heat resistance compared to standard PLA or ABS.
Will parts warp or deform in heat? +
Our PETG-CF parts handle temperatures up to approximately 70°C — more than enough for everyday use, including inside a hot car. That said, we recommend avoiding prolonged direct sun exposure, as extended UV exposure can affect color and structural integrity over time.
Are 3D printed parts fragile? +
Not at all. While they won't match the durability of aluminum or steel, our carbon fiber reinforced parts are built to handle normal and tactical airsoft use. The CF filament adds rigidity and impact resistance well beyond what standard printed parts offer.
// Quality & Cosmetics
I noticed small imperfections on my part. Is this a defect? +
Minor cosmetic variations are a natural characteristic of the 3D printing process. Each part is printed individually, and small surface irregularities may occur — these do not affect the structural integrity or performance of the part.
I can see lines running along my part. Is this normal? +
Yes — these are layer lines, an inherent characteristic of FDM 3D printing. They are not a defect. Think of them as the grain of the material. Our carbon fiber filament actually helps minimize their appearance compared to standard filaments, but they will always be present to some degree.
// Returns & Warranty
What is your return policy? +
Because every part is custom printed to order, we are unable to accept returns. However, we stand behind the quality of our work.
What if there's a problem with my part? +
We offer a 30-day warranty against manufacturing defects. If your part arrives with a structural issue caused by our printing process, contact us via WhatsApp with photos and we'll make it right — reprint or replacement at no cost to you. Cosmetic variations inherent to 3D printing are not covered under this warranty.
// About Blackfiber
Where are you based? +
We're based in New Westminster, BC, Canada. All parts are printed and shipped from Canada.
Why buy from Blackfiber instead of printing it myself? +
If you have a printer, the expertise, the experience, and the right filament, go for it — we respect that. But if you don't, or if you want parts printed in professional-grade carbon fiber filament on an enclosed, calibrated system with hardened nozzles and dialed-in settings, that's where we come in. Consistent quality, no wasted filament, no failed prints.
